Eagle Rock Convenience Center is a premier public trash drop-off facility operated by the City of Albuquerque Solid Waste Management Department. Located at 6301 Eagle Rock NE, this comprehensive waste management facility serves residents and small commercial customers throughout Albuquerque and surrounding areas. As one of three city-operated convenience centers, Eagle Rock offers both trash disposal and recycling services, making it a convenient one-stop destination for waste management needs.
COMPREHENSIVE WASTE MANAGEMENT SERVICES:
• Trash Drop-Off: Public facility for excess trash, yard waste, and large items

• Tree stumps and limbs (up to 18 inches diameter, 8 feet length)
• Concrete, dirt, rock, gravel, brick (up to 9 cubic feet)
• Insulation (must be bagged)
• Auto batteries (non-leaking only)
• Yard waste and organic materials
PROHIBITED ITEMS:
• Hazardous waste, medical waste, infectious waste
• Dead animals, ammunition, or firearms
• Hot waste or smoldering materials (coals, wood, ashes)
• Construction or demolition debris (drywall, carpet)
• Roofing materials
• Waste containing free liquids
• Fire extinguishers
• Compressed gas cylinders
DISPOSAL FEES AND POLICIES:
• Standard Fee: $5.25 per load (including tax)
• Load Definition: 4x8x2 feet (truck bed or trailer)
• Additional Fees: $5.82 clean-up fee for unsecured loads
• Payment Methods: Cash, Check, Mastercard, Visa, American Express
• Vehicle Limits: Under 2 tons rated capacity
• Trailer Limits: 40 feet combined length (vehicle + trailer)
SPECIAL GUIDELINES:
• Appliances: Up to 2 allowed with refrigerant intact
• Mattresses: Up to 10 per residential or small commercial customer
• Pallets: Up to 10 per customer
• Railroad Ties: Up to 10 per customer
• Concrete/Masonry: Only 9 cubic feet (2 wheelbarrow loads)
• Tree Materials: Maximum 18 inches diameter, 8 feet total length
• Insulation: Must be bagged prior to disposal
• Load Security: Must tarp and secure loads to avoid additional fees
