Last week we took 300'+ of #2 copper wire in and thought our load was rather shy of what we typically could expect. We understand rates fluctuate and being we have been in this industry for many moons we have also come to learn how to average a load based on current rates. $23.70 (kids fair money) was a shock compared to the avg of $60-$80+ on what we expected this size load would bring. However at that time we took it as a loss threw in a little extra and still made the best of Dollar Day at the fair. Today however really put it into perspective. We have 1/3 (or less) of the load we brought in last week just some remnants left from a decom. We decide today to call around in hopes of finding better rates. Find them down in the S. Valley and decide to make the trip. You do the math... $33.00 for 1/3 of a $23.70 load and guaranteed the weight was not accurate at Acme seeing the differences in both loads! Never again Acme! You burned our kids essentially in the end because that day that money was promised for the fair!
