About This Center

Eagle Rock Convenience Center, Don Reservoir Convenience Center, and Montessa Park Convenience Center are three public trash drop-off locations in Albuquerque managed by the Solid Waste Management Department. The centers operate from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week, except on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. Vehicles must arrive before 4:30 p.m. to be admitted. Prohibited items include hazardous waste, medical waste, ammunition, firearms, hot waste, construction debris, and more. Each vehicle is limited to under two tons, and specific item limits apply, such as two appliances with refrigerant intact at Eagle Rock and Montessa Park, and only one appliance at Don Reservoir. Mattresses, pallets, railroad ties, tires, and other materials have quantity restrictions. Exceeding these limits requires disposal at Cerro Colorado Landfill. A disposal fee of $5.25 per load is charged for excess trash, yard waste, and large items, with additional fees for unsecured loads. The centers accept cash, check, and major credit cards. Oscar Inzunza (1/5 stars, 4 months ago): It's always a long wait if you have a dump trailer. They let regular cars in as well as hand-unload trailers on a 10 to 1 ratio compared to dump trailers. It's ridiculous that you have to wait an hour and a half each time because the literally unload one dump trailer every 25-30 min and the lines get very long. I tried talking to management but they always give you excuses. Most of us are self employed and wasting almost 2 hours there each time costs us a lot of money.

If I could change one thing about this place it's that the workers backing In dump Trailers They need high visibility gloves.I can't see their hands half the time I go there when they're wearing black Hoodies and black gloves.
