DETAILED ACCEPTANCE GUIDELINES: ACCEPTED ITEMS WITH LIMITS: • Appliances: Up to 2 allowed with refrigerant intact (remove all food from refrigerators/freezers) • Mattresses: Up to 10 per residential or small commercial customer • Tires: Up to 5 auto/small truck tires per customer • Pallets: Up to 10 per customer • Railroad Ties: Up to 10 per customer • Concrete/Masonry: Only 9 cubic feet (2 wheelbarrow loads) of concrete, dirt, rock, gravel, or brick • Tree Materials: Stumps or limbs cannot be larger than 18 inches in diameter including root ball, no longer than 8 feet total • Insulation: Must be bagged prior to disposal • Auto Batteries: Accepted as long as they are not leaking PROHIBITED ITEMS: • Hazardous waste, medical waste, infectious waste • Dead animals, ammunition, or firearms • Hot waste or smoldering waste (coals, wood, or ashes) • Construction or demolition debris (includes drywall & carpet) • Roofing materials • Waste containing free liquids • Fire extinguishers • Compressed gas cylinders VEHICLE AND LOAD RESTRICTIONS: • Vehicle Capacity: Limited to under 2 tons rated capacity • Trailer Length: Vehicles plus trailers up to 40 feet combined length • Load Security: Must tarp and secure loads to avoid $5.82 clean-up fee • Load Sizes: 1 Load = 4x8x2 feet, 2 Loads = 4x16x2 feet, 4 Loads = 8x16x2 feet EXCEEDING LIMITS: • If quantities exceed stated limits, items must be taken to Cerro Colorado Landfill • Contact facility for guidance on large quantities or oversized items • Commercial quantities may require different disposal arrangements RECYCLING SERVICES: • Additional recycling drop-off available beyond standard curbside collection • Single-stream recycling accepted • Check with facility for specific recyclable materials accepted FACILITY POLICIES: • Gates close at 5:00 PM sharp • No admission after 4:30 PM • Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day • Professional staff available for assistance • Clean and organized facility operations
