The convenience centers accept curbside recyclables plus items not allowed in the blue cart, including household hazardous waste (lithium-ion batteries, fluorescent bulbs, motor oil, paint, mercury items, and medical sharps), white Styrofoam, plastic bags and wrap, scrap metal, electronics, tires, and small yard waste. Centers are open 7:00 am to 6:00 pm and are closed Wednesdays (with an additional weekday closure that varies by location) and on major holidays; they are for residential use only. Construction and demolition debris, large branches, and land clearing debris must go directly to the sanitary landfill, where tipping fees apply.
