About this center

The Mockingbird Way Mulching Facility, operated by Brevard County Solid Waste Management, is located at 3600 South Street in Titusville and serves residential vehicles and yard waste trucks only. Due to construction of a replacement transfer station and expansion of the processing pad, the facility stopped accepting vegetative waste, wood, metals, white goods, concrete, and tires effective July 19, 2024, through August 2026; those materials must now go to the Central Disposal Facility at 2260 Adamson Road, Cocoa. The on-site Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center remains open and accepts a range of household chemicals, batteries, fluids, and paints. Vehicles longer than 30 feet (North side) or 33 feet combined truck-and-trailer (South side) are not permitted on site.

No. The facility is designed for residential vehicles and yard waste trucks servicing residential areas only. The drop-off building is limited to residential C&D remodeling and household hazardous waste.

Are there vehicle size restrictions on site?

Yes. Vehicles longer than 30 feet are prohibited on the North side, and truck-and-trailer combinations longer than 33 feet are prohibited on the South side.

The guys are almost like one of the crew I see them multiple times a week when I stop in to transfer debris. Just pull straight in to drop off cardboard concrete and trees. Everything else make a right head up the ramp and ask for Information. The guys and gals are more than helpful. Great crew of people staffing this county building.

This place is amazing. They do a great job keeping the different areas neat and tidy. You can bring yard debris old tires dead appliances and other metals as well as cardboard. Up top they take construction debris household chemicals and paint. And then you can pick up compost and sometimes mulch. Very happy to have this facility in my town!
