How to Recycle Shredded Paper
Paper that has been shredded for security purposes.
Quick answer
Sometimes. Shredded paper is recyclable fiber, but the short strands jam sorting machines, so many curbside programs refuse it loose. Bag it in a clearly labeled paper bag if your program allows, take it to a shred-recycling event, or compost it.
