The Alexandria yard on Dallas Avenue opened in 2008 as Cenla Recycling. In 2016 that yard and the Vidalia yard both took the Xpress Recycling name. The family started in auto recycling in 1965 at Browns Auto Ranch, added Pacman car crushing in 1988, and opened Concordia Metals in Vidalia in 1999. Both sites buy ferrous and non-ferrous metal from the public, government, businesses, manufacturers, and demolition contractors. Ferrous loads include heavy steel, plate and structural, old cars, appliances, and sheet iron. Non-ferrous loads include aluminum cans, cast aluminum, brass, copper, radiators, stainless steel, alloys, and batteries. Containers run 20, 30, 42, and 55 yards, with demolition cleanup, mobile car crushing, radiation screening, and alloy analysis. Hours at both yards are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. IS Net World and PICS Auditing are listed certifications.

Sellers show a valid state-issued photo ID before payment. Louisiana law bars cash for insulated and bare copper and for aluminum or copper radiators unless the seller holds a business license, so those loads are paid by check after a 5-day hold and mailed to the address on the ID. Staff help unload and loan out PPE. Asbestos, radioactive material, PCBs, CFCs, and live ordnance are refused.
