Bill Bonu (1/5 stars, a month ago): Thankfully I only go here every few years when junk piles up in my shop and I'm really not concerned about the money just getting this stuff hauled off however if you're hauling scrap for money there has to be better places to go.I brought a load of 95% thick heavy solid iron with a few fenders and a hood or two and got tin price for the whole load.I could understand dirty iron price or something but it was far from a load of tin SMH.so separate EVERYTHING and haul multiple loads or something I guess or you will get ripped off.I don't care really they could have gave me nothing I just wanted the stuff gone but it makes me wonder how people who haul scrap for a living could even deal with them at all.then I was the only person in line at the little window and they finished a ten minute conversation they were having before they even acknowledged me SMH 😆. whatever I was in no hurry anyway so I was just checking stuff out until they decided to take my id and deal with me just rude and unprofessional on their part. The thing that REALLY CONCERNS ME is the location.a few hundred yards UPHILL from the natalbany river is the driveway and if you go in and cross the tracks and go left it goes all the way to the river!how do you run a recycling yard on the bank of a main river?or any river? you can not tell me the runoff doesn't go straight into the river.from A scrap yard full of oil leaking cars and who knows what else?!?! unbelievable.only in Louisiana have I ever seen recyclers on the banks of waterways.Id love to see the EPA pour out some dye in the middle of a downpour after a day or two of steady rain and see where it goes.like I said geographically theyre UPHILL so common sense tells me the runoff goes DOWNHILL to the river duuuurr. No wonder when I go fishing on tickfaw river there are signs everywhere saying only eat one fish per year or whatever because of pollution theres a whole recycling yard upstream a few miles without any berms or anything that I'm aware of stopping everything on the ground from going into the river.Ive been to all the lower 48 states Canada and Alaska and never seen anything like it but they're all over Louisiana on natalbany river bank Mississippi River and everywhere else here.guess the save our lakes people and the deq and EPA and all dont care down here.if I'm not mistaken there's a water tower on Baptist rd somewhere right through the woods a half mile or so so I guess to hell with the aquifer too.long as they can make money and rip people off it's all good here.I thought they would have concrete things like around gas tanks or whatever on rivers have with a liner or something but all I see is dirt leading downhill to the river.but what do I know I'm just a dumb redneck.just follow the instructions and don't eat the fish downstream I guess.especially the ones with three eyes!!

Jessica
Jessica (3/5 stars, a year ago): Their prices are pretty much the same as other near by places. The problem I have is the two ladies that handle the big scale pay for tin prices for 98% of the time. The young girl is polite but the older lady is very rude and can't identify all metals correctly. The 3rd lady the one who handles the copper tickets. She's great. Love her to death.she knows exactly what's what. The guys in the copper shop need to move a little faster and get things done.
