Atlas Metal and Iron Corp. Aurora

This place was not very friendly as a new person. I came in with over 350lbs of copper and a couple thousand pounds of steel. I told them I needed to take the copper off first. They didn't listen and made me do the steel first. I had to unload then reload 350lbs of copper. Then I was not directed where to go or what to do and had to guess where to put my steel. Every single scrap yard I have ever been to pays me separately for tin coated #2 copper and yellow #1 copper. They refused to pay me separately and threw about 75 lbs of #1 in with my #2 to make easy on them!! I don't think I will be returning

seems to me this people hate working here bad attitude all the way around this facility. someone tells me one thing another something else. been here like 3 times. n 3 times bad experience. I drop engine and tranny alot of scrap aluminum and got pay just for scrap metal prices.

I owe a huge apology to everyone at Atlas for my previous review. I didn't understand how they operate and unfairly reviewed them before. They resolved this with me patiently and professionally. Great place and people. Sorry Atlas and thank you!
