Visitors drive through and stay in their vehicles while attendants unload pre-sorted material: cardboard, paper, glass, plastics #1 through 5 and 7, metals, wires, batteries, cooking oil, computers, phones, TVs, and appliances. General recycling requires no appointment, but household hazardous waste is accepted only on Fridays and Saturdays. Residency rules and fees vary by item. The center also crushes recycled glass into sand and gravel grades, holds monthly paper shredding events, and takes medical sharps containers. It refuses propane tanks, Styrofoam, plastic bags, and LED and halogen bulbs.
