Ellington Airport/Clear Lake Neighborhood Recycling Center

The Ellington Airport Clear Lake Neighborhood Recycling Center in Houston, TX is an unstaffed facility open 7 days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. It accepts recyclables at no additional charge for City of Houston residents and is funded by various organizations. The center accepts items like ad inserts, aerosol cans, aluminum cans, cardboard, glass bottles, magazines, newspapers, and certain plastics (1-5 and 7). Items like toys, packing materials, flower pots, Styrofoam, plastic furniture, junk waste, tree waste, and garbage are not accepted. Residents can drop off electronics for recycling once a month on the 2nd Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Masks are required, and contactless unloading is encouraged. For other materials like junk waste or tree waste, residents are directed to SWMD Neighborhood Depositories Recycling Centers or their curbside service schedule.
