They also recycle 5,000 tons of wood each year by grinding it into chips for local lumber mills. The facility offers a variety of retail products including compost, bark, rock, soil blends, and stones. Their compost products include Recology Premium Compost, 50 50 Plant Mix, and E-Compost, all suitable for various applications like soil amendment, erosion control, and improving soil health. They also provide landscape products such as Sandy Loam Topsoil and Potting Soil. Customers can inquire about custom soil blends as well. The facility operates from April to September on Monday to Saturday from 8 AM to 5:30 PM and is closed on Sundays. From October to March, they are open Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM and on Saturdays from 9 AM to 4 PM, closed on Sundays. The facility is closed to the public on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. Cash payments are not accepted at the McMinnville or Astoria Transfer Stations, but checks and credit/debit cards are still accepted.
