Northstar Recycling (NRI) is a scrap metal recycling center in Hugo, MN, serving the Twin Cities area. The facility buys ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, brass and stainless steel, precious and specialty metals, and items like car batteries, catalytic converters and electric motors, using on-site digital scales and metal analyzers to price loads. Drive-up and walk-up drop-off is open to the general public as well as contractors, plumbers and electricians, and NRI also offers aluminum can redemption, container pickup and delivery, and turnkey recycling programs for commercial and industrial customers. Winter hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with limited Saturday hours.
