Recycling centers in New Fairfield, Connecticut

The New Fairfield Drop Off Center is the town's municipal transfer and recycling station at 33 Bigelow Road, run by the Public Works Department for New Fairfield residents. It accepts household garbage, single stream recycling, glass, food scraps, scrap metal, bulky waste, tires, automotive items, textiles, electronics, mattresses, and brush and leaves. A town permit is required for most items, though electronics and mattresses can be dropped off without one, and payment is by check, credit, or debit card only. Household garbage is sent to the WIN waste-to-energy facility in Bridgeport and single stream recycling goes to the Oak Ridge Materials Recovery Facility in Shelton.
