Recycling centers in Ridgefield

The Ridgefield Recycling Center, located at 59 South Street, Ridgefield, CT, operates Tuesday through Saturday from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM. To use the center, residents must obtain a permit, which costs $20 for residents and $50 for non-residents, and is valid for both the Recycling Center and Transfer Station. Permits should be displayed from the vehicle's rearview mirror. The center is managed by the Housatonic Resource Recovery Authority (HRRA), which serves multiple towns in the region. It is essential to recycle correctly by only placing acceptable materials in the blue bins or at the center, as contamination from unacceptable items can hinder recycling efforts. For more information on what can be recycled and to download a permit application, visitors should refer to the HRRA resources.
