Locations: Bloomington facility at 1400 West 96th Street, Bloomington, MN 55431, and Brooklyn Park facility at 8100 Jefferson Highway, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445. Hours of operation: Tuesday to Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed on Sunday and Monday, and on specific holidays. Guidelines: Only households excluding organics and some recyclable materials from specific counties are eligible to use the facilities. Businesses are generally not accepted, except for specific items from small businesses. Accepted materials include hazardous waste, problem materials, electronics, recycling, and organics. Specific charges apply for items like tires, TVs, appliances, mattresses, and box springs. Recycling is accepted for free, with specific guidelines for cardboard, glass, metal, paper, plastics, and organics. Visitors must bring proof of residency and follow guidelines for transporting hazardous wastes. Not accepted materials include garbage, ammunition, asbestos, and more.
