About This Center

The Pacifica Recycling Yard is a drop-off location for residential Recology of the Coast customers, open on Tuesdays, Thursdays (8 AM - 4 PM), and Saturdays (7 AM - 2 PM). Customers are required to show proof of residency and can bring only one carload of materials per household per day, with no trailers or U-Hauls allowed. Accepted items include antifreeze, appliances, cardboard, household batteries, cellular phones, computers, cooking oil, fluorescent tubes (up to 10), furniture, latex paint (no dry cans), motor oil and filters, scrap metal, sharps, small household appliances, Styrofoam, televisions, tires (auto pick-up truck only), and wood (5-gallon limit per month). Some items like refrigerators, toilets, tires, and plastic dishwashers may incur a fee. Unacceptable items include bubble wrap, clothing, construction debris, garbage, glass, hazardous waste, medications, memory foam mattresses, organic waste, printer cartridges, propane tanks, and treated wood. The facility accepts all major credit cards but not cash or checks.

Liam Chen (4/5 stars, 7 months ago): Just a warning if you live in an apartment you might be able to use this yard. Drove in wanting to throw away an all wood bed frame and was told they don’t allow apartment residents to use the yard. They said I can junk it into the garbage trucks though so still got rid of it regardless.

Douglas Hatch (5/5 stars, 2 years ago): Professional staff normally very knowledgeable and courteous. Most of those customers complaining simply aren't familiar with the process or barge jnto the small yard without getting directions. After arrival drive past gate carefully and slowly stop and wait for directions from attendant. Explain briefly what you want to recycle. If attendant operating heavy machinery or advising client - just relax for a minute if you don’t know where to go and then courteously ask attendant about proper bin or process of where to properly place recyclables. Can be an enjoyable service of you are patient and respectful.
