How to Recycle Furniture
Wooden, metal, and upholstered furniture items.
Quick answer
Donate it first. Usable furniture is in demand at Goodwill, Salvation Army, and Habitat ReStore, many of which offer pickup. If it's broken, it isn't curbside recyclable: use a bulky-item pickup, or break it down so metal goes to scrap and clean, untreated wood to a wood recycler.
