About This Center
The New Mexico Recycling Coalition, established in 1991, aims to inspire individuals to rethink, reduce, reuse, and recycle. They offer expert training for recyclers in New Mexico, providing continuing education opportunities for certified operators to earn CEU credits for recertification. The coalition partners with the New Mexico Environment Department Solid Waste Bureau to offer tours, training sessions, and networking events throughout the year. These activities are open to everyone, not just certified operators, and include hands-on experiences. In 2025, the coalition will host four recycling and compost facility operator courses, including Recycling Facility Operator Certification Courses in Santa Fe and Albuquerque, and Compost Facility Operator Certification Courses in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. The New Mexico Recycling Coalition serves as a valuable resource for recycling information, advocating for sustainable and efficient recycling programs in collaboration with various stakeholders to create a New Mexico where discarded materials are managed as resources, not waste.
