How to Recycle Aerosol Cans
Spray paint, air fresheners, and other pressurized containers.
Quick answer
It depends. Completely empty aerosol cans are steel or aluminum and accepted in many curbside programs, but cans with product left are household hazardous waste. Don't puncture or crush them; use up the contents, then recycle the empty can or take partials to an HHW facility.
