Hood County Citizens Collection Station

The Citizens Collection Station located at 1510 Weatherford Highway in Hood County offers recycling services for bulk items such as glass, metal, paper, plastic, and cardboard, as well as motor oil. They do not accept brush and limbs, commercial waste, household garbage, hazardous waste, liquids other than motor oil and antifreeze, shingles, masonry items, or ceramic products. The station operates on specific days and has a fee schedule for different items and vehicle loads, with the first four passenger tires being free and larger tires accepted at $20 each. Payments are accepted in cash or check only. The station will be closed on April 18 and 19, 2025, and on Saturdays, with normal business hours resuming on April 21, 2025. For brush disposal, visitors can go to the Hood County Brush Yard on Wednesdays from 8 AM to 12 PM.
