The only reason they get away with it is because they're the only game in town. I stood in the lobby for 15 mins before I ever was helped. Some creature working in the back saw me there and refused to acknowledge I was a human being for 10 mins until she emerged from the back and said "need anything???" What am I supposed to do with a question like that when I've been staring at the counter for 10 minutes? I'm not a homeless person I'm a regular dude dressed in regular clothes with a brand new diesel truck outside. It's not like I'm some homeless person trying to loiter. I say "well I have cans and need to look at some steel." This rude lady says "he'll be out in a little" and walks away. Another 5 mins go by and I'm finally allowed to be served. I get paid nearly nothing for 4 commercial bags of cans and when I come back in with 2 small pipes I found in the dirt about as big around as a broomstick and 1 foot long I asked if I could buy them. If someone were to sell these for steel they might get $0.25. They told me it would be $19 to buy these two small pieces of pipe. My jaw fell on the floor. I thought they might say $2-3 bucks. You want to know how insane it was? I went to Lowe's just to see what it would be to buy the exact same pipe new (which is not a place you want to buy steel) And it was $9. Weatherford Recycling and Supply wanted $19. This place is absolute extortion the employees are rude the customer service is absolutely terrible and it's an overall completely awful experience coming here. I will rejoice if they ever go out of business.
