About This Center
Community Recycling of Plano is a family-owned and operated scrap metal recycling center specializing in wholesale services since 1991. They purchase various scrap metals such as copper, stainless steel, and aluminum, along with offering electronic recycling services and buying specific equipment like pool heaters and electric motors. The center also provides containers for contractor needs. They accept a wide range of materials including copper, aluminum alloys, brass, car batteries, and computer components like motherboards and hard drives. However, they do not accept items such as TVs, CPU monitors, DVD/VHS players, and other household electronics. Community Recycling emphasizes fair and reasonable pricing, with daily price changes for scrap metal recycling. They highlight the environmental benefits of recycling copper, stating that it saves up to 85% of the energy needed to produce new copper and reduces emissions from mining. Visitors seeking scrap metal recycling services, copper recycling, computer component recycling, or container services for industrial purposes can contact Community Recycling of Plano for more information and up-to-date quotes.

Wesley Keller (5/5 stars, in the last week): Only had a moment to post the review and wanted to ensure that it was present as well as the entrance for the business was updated. Google Maps took me to what I'd consider to be the exit. I submitted a better pin drop for the entrance. Now as to the business itself. Beyond friendly. Great folks! I had some steel pipes from a canopy that I didn't want to hit the landfill and didn't want city normal recycling to reject. They were straight with me that they cannot pay but would ensure proper recycling. If the need arises I will be back and urge all y'all to do the same. Keep it out of the landfill and give the repurposing a chance.

hector gomez (1/5 stars, 7 months ago): I do not recommend coming here. I brought in about 14 lbs of stripped 1/0 battery cable(no solder tips or corrosion) and they counted it as #2 copper. This copper wire was shiny with no issues met all the standards of #1 and they cheated me. Bad business.
Carey Marchand
Carey Marchand (1/5 stars, in the last week): Do not bother stopping here. They are very picky on what metals they will buy. They will not buy any steel or iron. Very rude attitude for a "Community" organization.
