They do not accept brush and limbs, commercial waste, household garbage, hazardous waste, liquids other than motor oil and antifreeze, shingles, masonry items, or ceramic products. The station operates on specific days and has a fee schedule for different items and vehicle loads, with the first four passenger tires being free and larger tires accepted at $20 each. Payments are accepted in cash or check only. The station will be closed on April 18 and 19, 2025, and on Saturdays, with normal business hours resuming on April 21, 2025. For brush disposal, visitors can go to the Hood County Brush Yard on Wednesdays from 8 AM to 12 PM.

Nicki Bonds (5/5 stars, 9 months ago): The people that run the collection station have always been super friendly to me. I've probably gone here like 10 times in 6 months while cleaning up a property. It's way less expensive than the Glen Rose dump.

Kristina Blackwell (5/5 stars, 7 years ago): Great recycling center! Takes glass metal paper plastic and cardboard. Might take other stuff too? Just ask! They are very helpful The only thing they don't take is plastic bags. Almost every grocery store takes plastic bags and that's what they recommend you do with those. Tip for people who are used to single-stream recycling :: this is not a single stream facility you need to have your recycling sorted before you go and then it's really simple once you get there. I didn't know that the first time and had everything lumped together.
