What can White Settlement residents recycle?
Cardboard, boxboard including beverage boxes, frozen food boxes, cereal boxes, and milk containers, newspaper, junk mail, envelopes, magazines, brochures and file folders, plastic containers identified with 1, 2, 3, 5, and 7, amber, clear, and green glass bottles and jars, aluminum beverage cans, and steel and tin food cans. Recycling carts are picked up once a week on the same day as your trash cart.
How should carts be set out in White Settlement?
On the street against your curb or along the curb line with wheels facing the house, out no earlier than 7 pm the night before and no later than 7 am the morning of pickup, with at least three feet of space on each side. Carts must be returned behind the front build line of your home by 7 am the day after pickup. Trash should be bagged; recyclables should be loose and rinsed.
How does curbside bulk pickup work?
Bulk is collected every eight weeks, and a pile may be up to 7 cubic yards, roughly 8 feet long, 6 feet deep, and 4 feet tall, or about seven trash carts' worth. Put it out the weekend before your bulk week along the front yard curb line, away from obstructions such as mailboxes, fences, trees, or parked vehicles.
What can and cannot go in a bulk pile?
Piles may contain limbs or bundles of limbs cut to 3 feet, brush, yard waste, furniture, appliances without refrigerant, and debris from small home improvement projects. They may not contain tires, household hazardous waste, electronics, garbage, construction debris, batteries, medical waste, gasoline, or car parts.
Where does household hazardous waste go?
White Settlement residents may obtain one free household hazardous waste voucher per household per calendar year from utility billing and take the materials directly to a City of Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center.
