Recycling centers in Thornton

Old phones, tablets, laptops, and game systems get a free recycling drop-off at the PayMore store at 10072 Grant Street in Thornton, with no appointment. PayMore is a retail shop that buys, sells, and trades used electronics, so a device the store passes on because it is too outdated or damaged to purchase still goes into free recycling. Devices the store buys are data-wiped before resale and paid for in cash on the spot. The store opens Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Thornton has a self-service recycling bin at 12450 Washington Street, open Monday–Friday 6 a.m.–5 p.m. It accepts flattened cardboard and paper, glass bottles and jars, aluminum and steel cans, empty aerosol cans, and plastics #1–7. Other resident-only drop-offs at the site have separate hours and rules.
