Southeastern Recyclers has bought scrap in southeast Alabama since 1989. The Salem yard at 55 Lee Road 251 is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern, and closed Saturday and Sunday. Drop-off covers non-ferrous metal, and aluminum cans are paid by the pound. The buy list includes aluminum, brass, copper, lead, and zinc. Brass intake covers door handles, musical instruments, plumbing fixtures, keys, decorative items, yellow brass, red brass, and auto radiators. Lead intake covers roofing, pipes, solder, car batteries, some rechargeable batteries, x-ray aprons and other radiation shielding, fishing sinkers, and bullets.
