Scrap metal items like car parts, fencing, tools, and more are also welcome. However, certain items like beauty bark, kitchen waste, noxious weeds, painted lumber, appliances, batteries, tires, and hazardous fluids are not accepted. Specific restrictions apply to items like engines, fluids, propane cylinders, tanks, and transmissions, which must be drained or prepared accordingly. Wow! This is a quick and easy way to get rid of broken down cardboard. No packing materials just broken down cardboard. I did see a dumpster for glass as well.

Doing yardwork and pruning your trees and rhododendrons around here can be very laborious and take up a lot of space when you’re having to collect it all and take it someplace for drop off. It’s fabulous that the City Of Olympia provides this service to its citizens. It’s conveniently located and large enough so that there’s ample room for maneuvering trailers and trucks that come in. Every time I’ve driven in on Saturday the staff have always been helpful and friendly when I drop stuff off and makes the whole chore more enjoyable. Thanks.

Always helpful staff accepting my scrap metal on Saturdays. I also drop off glass bottles and flattened cardboard in the containers in front of the center any day of the week. Excellent service provided by our City!
