Salem-Keizer Recycling & Transfer Station - Recycling Center in Salem, OR

The station is open 7 days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except on certain holidays. It is located at 3250 Deer Park Dr. SE, Salem, OR 97317, phone (503) 588-5169.

Free drop-off is available for car batteries, mixed paper and cardboard, glass bottles and jars, electronics, plastic bottles and jugs, household batteries, most metal items, used motor oil (residential, up to 5 gallons), bicycles and scooters, and fluorescent tubes and bulbs (limit 10 per day).

Garbage is $130.00 per ton with a $30.00 minimum charge. Clean yard waste is $80.00 per ton with a $20.00 minimum. Appliances without refrigerant are $5.00 each and appliances with refrigerant are $25.00 each. Small tires start at $5.00. Unrestrained loads are charged an extra $10.00.

Cash, personal checks, and debit or credit cards (Master Card and Visa) are accepted. Photo ID is required for checks and card payments. American Express and Discover are not accepted.

Household hazardous waste is not allowed in the paid disposal or recycling areas. It is handled at the on-site Household Hazardous Waste Facility (first building on the left), which offers free disposal for household quantities; containers should not exceed five gallons. Businesses must schedule an appointment.
