Solid Waste Management Department's Kirkpatrick Neighborhood Depository Recycling Center in Houston, TX, located at 5565 Kirkpatrick, offers free drop-off services for Junk Waste, Tree Waste, and Recyclables to City of Houston residents. Operating hours are Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 7 pm, closed on Mondays. Residents can use the depository four times a month and are advised to arrive at least 30 minutes before closing. Proof of residency is required with a Texas Driver's License or ID and a current utility bill or city property tax receipt. Accepted items include furniture, tree waste, appliances, up to five automobile tires, aluminum/tin cans, plastics, newspapers, glass, used motor oil, and cardboard. Not accepted are household garbage, more than ten tires per household, large building materials, commercial waste, or trash from commercial haulers. Additional depository locations are available city-wide, and visitors are encouraged to follow proper disposal guidelines for items like batteries, fluorescent lights, and medical waste.

Got here a few minutes before 5:30 (they close at 6) not at 7 like their google says and they said it was too late even tho their poster says 5:30. Be ready to be treated like trash literally trash idk where they hired them but they should not be hired at all!

Rebecca Matlock (2/5 stars, 2 years ago): Continuing to have terrible experiences at the city drop-off centers. This site was so confusing. There was a five car line but unclear what the line was specifically for. Waited for 10 mins and then a worker came up and tried to guide me where to go. There were no signs on the cardboard or plastic bins so if a worker hadn’t guided me I would have had no idea where to put my items. Even with the guidance I was still confused. There were also multiple trucks throughout the site blocking my way. At least this one you don’t have to wait an hour to get in like North Main.

C dd (1/5 stars, 4 months ago): People working there is very rude. It's a shame! Study case of government at work. Avoid going there I drive extra 10 miles to go SE. Since there is no consequences for a bad behavior or performance my prediction no change. The guy literally told me that I was taking too long time emptying my truck in an extremely offensive way. I walked up to him told him that I was sick and I just took my medicine. What kind of human being are these people? Please Lord give them guidance.
