What materials can I drop off?

The center accepts all non-hazardous commercial and residential solid waste, including mixed construction and demolition debris (sheetrock, plaster, tile, stucco, concrete, asphalt, brick), non-treated wood, appliances, bathroom fixtures, carpet and padding, dirt and rock, clean yard debris, mattresses and furniture, non-commercial tires up to 41 inches, and common recyclables like paper, cardboard, cans, plastic bottles, and glass.

What are the hours?

Open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is closed on New Year's Day, President's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

Are there fees?

Yes. There are fees for mixed C&D debris, building and remodeling debris, landscaping materials, and bulky items. Common recyclables are taken free of charge from residential customers, though businesses may be charged. Call the office for a cost estimate.

Does the facility accept treated wood or hazardous waste?

No. Treated wood waste is not accepted by any hauler or hazardous waste facility in Marin County and must go to a state-authorized disposal site. Household hazardous waste should be taken to the Marin Household Hazardous Waste Facility.

Great place highly efficient and every one working there that I encountered was super friendly and polite. They take hazardous waste for free (if you're a resident of Marin excluding Novato) so if you do your own oil changes like I do this is the place to take your old oil. They'll also take electronics such as tv's cables etc for free. Highly recommended.

This place is great. Friendly staff they always direct us in the right direction. Scrap metal cardboard and paper are free to drop off. If you have little kids take them to check out the pigs and every visitor has the likelihood of catching some of the peacocks that strut around!
