Green Monster e-Cycling started in a West Hartford garage in 2007 and now runs a 20,000 square foot processing center at 150 Brook Street, one of Connecticut's first electronics recycling facilities. Drop-offs are always free, and the company schedules pickups from homes, businesses, and job sites. The accepted list covers computers, laptops, servers, networking and telecom gear, monitors, TVs, printers, phones, medical and lab equipment, and cables. Hard drives are wiped or destroyed, with serialized asset reporting and shredding for business customers. The yard refuses air conditioners, washers and dryers, refrigerators, dehumidifiers, microwaves, vacuums, light bulbs, and household batteries. A zero-landfill policy applies to everything it receives. Drop-off runs Monday through Friday and Saturday morning.

They take the electronics you are done with. Just check the list of what they don’t take. From the front drive around to right and look for wide concrete ramp into building. Suggest you don’t go during icy or snowy weather.

Review

Google maps had me go to the Brown business and ask directions. Green Monster was on the other side of the road behind others businesses. But I found it! The guy that emptied my car was very nice! I had games and old Sega's and playstation games. He took them too!! I will return. It's a half hour drive but worth it!

Longtime user.... good enough when open but often late to open. Phone often just goes to voicemail. Employees don’t seem too thrilled to have to open the door. They could use a personality recycle.
