Bloomfield Redemption center - Recycling Center in Bloomfield, CT

It's the best place to go if u have a lot of recycling to do. I have been going there since 2019 and we go there at least 3 times a year with our van full of recycling bottles they are very fast and efficient even faster if u have already counted ur bottles before bringing them in.

It is a good place to return all different redeemable items. Why all the stores with redemption bins don't just take any deposit bottles and cans is beyond me. The comments about the helpful and friendly staff must be from a different site. No one gave any direction when I came in (first time there) and then they wouldn't take any glass items. I was told they had to be in a box. But not just any box it had to have high sides. There were dozens of low-walled boxes stacked up there but I was told I couldn't use them. Based on other review comments when I go back with my high-sided box I will be sure to count the items in it before handing it over. Again... why can't any deposit bottle/can be returned at any redemption site? Someone is making a ton of money on all those bottles and cans that are being rejected by machines all across CT.

They miscounted the number of bottles I brought in because I keep my bottles seperated by 50’s (so I know it is $5 each bag).. When I told then about the miscount he said why didn’t you tell me that and you counted.. I explained to him that the bags were a mix of bottles and any other time I have gone they tell me it has to be the same brand in each bag. Nevertheless they gave me $26 when they recounted it was $27.40. I brought in $31 worth of bottles so they still cheated me out of $4 bucks.. His response to me was you aren’t gonna win with a women!! Not when I know what I brought in!! How many people are they cheating out of money!!! I will have to find another bottle redemption place!!
