About this center
CalWest Recycling is headquartered at its Pacific Street facility in Hayward, with additional offices in Los Angeles and Shenzhen, China. The company buys scrap metals, e-waste, and working electronics for resale: aluminum, copper, stainless, brass, wire, and radiators alongside computer electronics, integrated circuits, test equipment, telephone equipment, and surplus inventory.
Electronics with precious metals go to gold extraction, and the company cites more than 30 years recovering precious metals from circuit boards, integrated circuits, and fuel cells. A shredding and grinding line destroys security-sensitive equipment with before and after photos and a certificate of destruction. Businesses arrange scrap pickup, and the Hayward office is open weekdays and closed on federal holidays.
