The landfill also offers a citizen drop-off facility completed in June 2006, providing a clean, safe location for self-haul customers to drop off waste without entering the landfill cell. Recycling opportunities are available at the citizen drop-off facility. Additionally, the landfill has a landfill gas to energy facility that compresses and ships landfill gas to generate electricity, reducing air pollution.
