Recycling centers in Kettering

Yard Debris Center located at 1840 Woodman Center Dr., Kettering, Ohio 45420, operates with specific residency requirements mandating proof of Kettering residency and taxpayer status for dropping off yard debris. Summer hours run Monday to Friday from 3 - 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., while winter hours are Saturdays only from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Accepted yard debris includes brush, limbs, trimmings, and Christmas trees not exceeding six feet in length or six inches in diameter. Unaccepted items like grass clippings, root balls, stumps, and construction materials are refused due to composting contamination risks. Yard debris is processed into mulch compost available for Kettering residents, with a free leaf compost program offered each fall. The center does not provide pick-up services, and unaccepted debris can be disposed of at Montgomery County Solid Waste District or with Rumpke trash collection.
