Recycling centers in Livingston, Montana

The City of Livingston Solid Waste Division operates a public recycling area at the Transfer Station on Bennett Street where residents drop off sorted recyclables. Accepted materials include #1 and #2 plastics (emptied and flattened, caps on, no bags or Styrofoam), paper such as newspaper, magazines, phone books, junk mail, office paper, and paperback books, cardboard and brown packaging paper (no food-contaminated or wax-coated items), and rinsed aluminum and steel cans. Glass bottles and jars are accepted from City of Livingston and Park County residents only, and fluorescent light bulbs are taken for a nominal per-bulb fee. As of February 2025 televisions are no longer accepted for e-waste recycling and must be brought to the Transfer Station for paid disposal.
