About this center
The City of Livingston Solid Waste Division operates a public recycling area at the Transfer Station on Bennett Street where residents drop off sorted recyclables. Accepted materials include #1 and #2 plastics (emptied and flattened, caps on, no bags or Styrofoam), paper such as newspaper, magazines, phone books, junk mail, office paper, and paperback books, cardboard and brown packaging paper (no food-contaminated or wax-coated items), and rinsed aluminum and steel cans. Glass bottles and jars are accepted from City of Livingston and Park County residents only, and fluorescent light bulbs are taken for a nominal per-bulb fee. As of February 2025 televisions are no longer accepted for e-waste recycling and must be brought to the Transfer Station for paid disposal.

What plastics does the recycling center accept?
Only plastics #1 and #2. They should be emptied and flattened with caps on. No plastic bags, Styrofoam, or prescription bottles are accepted.
Can anyone drop off glass here?
Glass recycling is limited to City of Livingston and Park County residents. All glass bottles and jars are accepted; rinse the container and remove the lids. Windows, light bulbs, ceramic cups and plates, and glass table tops cannot be recycled.
What are the recycling hours?
The recycling area is open 7 days a week, 7AM to 7PM.
Is there a fee for any items?

Love the hours and that I can recycle 7 days a week. Glass is still recycled here. You can’t even recycle glass in the central part of Bozeman anymore (you have to drive 8-9 miles to get past four corners).

Be prepared for the recycling center to be closed. I have now given up on recycling in Livingston. I cannot believe how difficult this place makes recycling which is already a pain to juggle. I can't count how many times I have loaded my boxes and bags of material and have driven up to locked gates and watched other people drive up and have to turn around as well. I went on 12/23/20 at 4:15 - closed.
