Recycling centers in Columbia Heights, Minnesota

The Columbia Heights Recycling Center is a municipal drop-off site at 3801 Madison Street NE, open Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm. It is staffed by volunteers from the local Kiwanis Club and is free for residents, available to area residents and businesses. The center accepts a defined list of materials including cardboard and mixed paper, metal, glass, and plastic containers, scrap metal, used oil and oil filters, household batteries, tires (residents only), fluorescent bulbs, film plastics, Styrofoam, and bicycles. Only the items on its posted list are accepted; for other materials the city points residents to the Anoka County Recycling Guide.
