The family started in auto recycling in 1965 at Browns Auto Ranch, added Pacman car crushing in 1988, and opened Concordia Metals in Vidalia in 1999. Both sites buy ferrous and non-ferrous metal from the public, government, businesses, manufacturers, and demolition contractors. Ferrous loads include heavy steel, plate and structural, old cars, appliances, and sheet iron. Non-ferrous loads include aluminum cans, cast aluminum, brass, copper, radiators, stainless steel, alloys, and batteries. Containers run 20, 30, 42, and 55 yards, with demolition cleanup, mobile car crushing, radiation screening, and alloy analysis. Hours at both yards are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
