About this center

Speedie Auto Salvage started in 1976. Speedie Recycling opened in 2007, when a scale and a full-time crew were added at 7021 Eberhart Road NW in Dover, Ohio, so vehicles could be bought by weight. The yard buys copper, brass, aluminum cans, siding, extrusion, insulated copper wire, lead-acid batteries, stainless, steel, and appliances. Vehicle loads include cars, engines, transmissions, radiators, alternators, starters, and catalytic converters. A certified scale weighs the metal, and payment is immediate. Junk vehicles are dropped off or picked up by tow truck. The title must be in hand, and the check goes only to the name on the title or the notarized holder. Towing cost comes off the payout. Roll-off boxes from 15 to 80 yards serve metal accounts. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, and Saturday, 8:00 am to 11:00 am.

Although no Auto salvage company can completely satisfy the public the group of guys at the counter handle things in a professional and timely manner. I understand now that it's difficult to bring the public back into the yard to look at parts it takes time up of yard guys especially if you don't buy. I would buy again from speedie.

Can't really complain all that much except for their time open. Currently they close at 4:00pm on weekdays and they aren't open on weekends. My work requires me to be at work until 4 but I have weekends off. I would need to convince my boss to leave for at least a couple hours in the middle of the day just to get a measely $20 bucks from a huge pile of metal. Very inconvient. Edit: I am assuming they updated their hours on Google because I swear Saturdays displayed nothing. Whether I am wrong or not review is changed from 3 to 4 stars.
