About this center

The JBSA-Randolph Recycling Center is the base recycling facility for Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, located in building 1152 at East Perimeter and Bone roads. It accepts paper, corrugated cardboard, plastic, glass bottles, scrap metal and ink toner cartridges, and recycles roughly 45 tons of material a year. The center is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. to service members, employees and anyone with base access, with 24/7 drop-off containers in front of building 1139. On-site document shredding is available to military members, employees and retirees; electronics such as TVs and computers are not accepted.

They helped and it was great. Not sure about the post about closing 20 minutes before they close on Friday before the weekend....everyone closes early on a Friday on base. SMH. Enjoy the early close fellas!!!

I went to recycle items on Friday August 9th arriving at 3:20. The place was closed with a sign on the gate saying they were open until 3:30 with no explanation of why they weren't open. The website even says they're open to 4PM. A good operation like this needs to have consistent advertised hours and it needs to follow them. If not they need to at least post an explanation.
