Unloading time is limited to 30 minutes maximum. The facility operates from 9 AM to 4:45 PM daily, with special holiday closures for Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and Thanksgiving Day. First time here! Had a bunch of big cardboard to dump. Easy place to find but didn't know where to go dump the cardboard. Went thru the weighing station and the lady explained where I needed to go. Bunch of big containers to toss in the cardboard yourself. Very good experience!

My wife arrived at the Pierce County recycling today 07/05/17 at 4:45 and was told they are closed to all people except those who are in the facility already. The website says they close at 5:00. They need to either stand by their posted hours or change the online site to state more clearly the hours of operation. All she needed was to drop some cardboard into the proper dumpster.

Stream line process .Super friendly staff and no wait . Recycling is a short stop out front. And hats off to our T V star security . Gig harbor is top notch clean 😉
