New Britain Recycling Center

The City’s Recycling Center, located at 642 Christian Lane, Berlin, offers residents a convenient option for disposing of various items beyond curbside refuse and recycling services. Many items, including mattresses, electronics, and metal waste, can be disposed of at no cost, while general waste such as household trash and construction debris incurs a fee of $160.00 per ton, with minimum transaction fees of $10 for up to 100 lbs and $20 for 101 lbs to 240 lbs. The center is open Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 2:15 pm, and on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month from April to October, as well as every Saturday in November from 7:00 am to 11:45 am.
