About This Center
The Muskegon County Solid Waste Management System (Landfill) provides disposal services for municipal solid waste, demolition debris, and other materials, excluding hazardous waste. Residents from Muskegon, Ottawa, Oceana, Newaygo, and Lake counties can access the residential transfer station to dispose of unwanted goods. Only residents with working 4-wheel drive vehicles and hydraulic dump trailers (no tilt trailers) are allowed to dump within the active landfill cell with the necessary personal protective equipment. The landfill does not accept waste from locations other than the specified counties. Visitors can refer to the Material Management Plan NOI Document for more details on waste management.

I pull a dump trailer here often and over the winter I got very stuck because the load was totally frozen in the trailer and one of the loader operators (Bill) stopped what he was doing and came over with a long scraping pole and pulled out the frozen load! He then guided me to get back on solid ground. I’d still be stuck up there if he didn’t help me out. I’m very thankful.

Devon Kieft (3/5 stars, a year ago): Friendly and organized yeah experience is fine. But as if it wasn't enough they tripled their price in one go a year ago it's gone up another $5 now. Plus $10 for each piece of furniture.
