The fast friendly and professional services provided while supporting a small locally owed company is well worth the difference. I recommend anyone to send them their buissiness.

Stephen Treadwell (1/5 stars, 2 years ago): Well if I'm being honest the first encounter that I had with top of the hill was satisfactory in the sense that I'm from out of town and was not familiar with the area. They were very helpful and respectful. This has absolutely NOTHING to do with the staff my poor review is solely based on the (For the most part) insulting offer that I received my second visit. 78 lb of copper and I walked out with $54. I definitely expected more especially since I am an electrician and I have a pretty good understanding of what coppers worth in its many forms. The staff is amazing but whoever is in charge of making decisions on what to pay their customers needs to stop conducting their business in a manner that leaves people with a nasty taste in their mouth. Let's be honest you are far from "Johnson&Johnson" or "Amazon" so why conduct impersonal business like they do? Oh well "Fair Salvage" here I come! $$$

Ahmad Manawi (1/5 stars, 2 years ago): I was paid very little for the load I brought in. Over 60% less than what I expected. The guy in the yard claimed it was "unclean" do to a small power cord and wheels on a huge machine. Mind you the same load had another big commercial machine that didn't have any extra stuff on it and a bunch of clean panels (420lbs all stainless steel) only recieved $42 for it. Very disappointed that I wasn't informed until I threw everything off the edge like I was told to do. I would have easily removed those small parts for the extra $50. It is what it is but I will be driving the extra distance to another yard from now on before I get shorted again. I've been doing this for a while and no other place has done this to me. Don't throw out your load without showing them or they will consider it as tin or unclean. Very unfortunate that I wasted my time and money here.
