PADNOS Black River is a scrap metal recycling yard in Holland, off I-196 Business Loop West and Chicago Dr, part of the Michigan-based PADNOS recycling company. They pay for a range of metals and electronics, including steel, copper, aluminum, car batteries, and household appliances like washers, dryers, and refrigerators, and will properly remove refrigerants from appliances at no charge. The process is drive-in with no appointment needed: pull onto the certified scale for a full weight, drop your material where directed, return for an empty weight, then settle up in the office with your ID. Electronics such as circuit boards, computers, and smartphones are bought by the pound. Some items, like vinyl siding and household cardboard, are accepted but carry no payment.
