The Marrero Drop-Off Site at 6440 Lapalco Boulevard is one of four free, self-service trash drop-off sites run by Jefferson Parish for residents who receive curbside garbage collection in unincorporated Jefferson Parish and the Town of Jean Lafitte. Residents unload their own debris into roll-off containers and must show a driver's license or water bill to verify residence; unincorporated-area residents are limited to two visits per day. All four sites take garbage, bulky waste, scrap metal, tree and yard waste, and construction debris, and the Marrero location additionally accepts waste tires, automotive fluids, oil filters, lead acid batteries, waste cooking oil, holiday light strands, and most E-Waste (no TVs or CRTs). It is open Tuesday through Sunday, 9 am to 5:30 pm, except on observed holidays.

Commercial users may not dispose of passenger tires, auto fluids, E-Waste, batteries, or waste cooking oil at the drop-off sites.

So far the service we've received has been satisfactory. Although the earlier pickup time is an unfortunate sound for my feline friend. Around 3am the cat strikes "meow! Get down its the end again!"And off he goes twice a wk...Feelin like the 1st time every time just as clueless and confused as ever. But we both got a laugh watching a second truck empty our dumpster that was emptied just a few hours earlier. Provide 3am and 730am to see which time our customers prefer? 😂👍

It is appreciated to have place to drop recycled materials off. It would be convenient to have it picked up from our homes. New Orleans has a recycling program where they have a larged recycling bin that is pickup weekly from your address. Jefferson Parish we need our officials to help keep our environment clean.
