M V (5/5 stars, 4 months ago): I have been to Green Guys in San Marcos twice in the past few weeks and both times the staff went out of their way to be helpful! The first time I needed some cardboard boxes for the set of our opera production at Texas State. As I drove up one of the staff there could tell I had no idea where to start and walked up to me to ask if I needed help. He didn't just tell me where to go and leave it at that--he walked me all the way through (their very interesting facility) to where he thought the best boxes would be for our needs. He was so nice that I decided to go back yesterday and see if I could get rid of the batteries whipped cream cans and various bits of scrap metal I have been collecting over the years (I just couldn't make myself throw a nail clipper that had fallen apart into the trash!) This time too--a gentleman could tell I wasn't sure which bin to drop my stuff in--and walked right up to me. He explained that rechargeable and lithium batteries are bad news and have to be handled differently--literally taking the opportunity to teach this old gal something new (to me) about recycling. These folks could not be nicer--kudos to this team and to this company. I will take everything I can over there to do my part!
