About this center

The Fort Bliss Qualified Recycling Program (QRP) aims to increase recycling, divert waste from landfills, and preserve natural resources. The program accepts scrap metal, wood pallets (to be stacked away from recycling and trash bins), and ink cartridges for recycling. Guidelines include not placing cigarettes, MREs, explosives, or ammo in bins to prevent fires, keeping outdoor bin lids closed during stormy weather, and maintaining a clean area around bins. Additional recyclables can be taken to the Military Installation Collection Area SY014. The program also runs a Recycling Grand Challenge to promote recycling and educate units, with winning units receiving a $3,000 award. The program conducts building inspections to ensure proper recycling practices and offers a Recycling Hero Program to recognize individuals who excel in recycling efforts. Visitors can volunteer, compete in challenges, and assist with outreach to be nominated as Recycle Heroes at the yearly event.

It should be open at the hours it says.... We arrived at this place and oh surprise! It was already closed 15 minutes before.

Used to be able to drop off 24/7 but now you can't and the new drop off site isnt open during the hours that are posted causing me to waste my time and gas.

I forgot to put my trash can on the curb for the last two weeks so I came here to drop off my trash. Whoever was in charge when I showed up was rude first asking what I was trying to throw out and then that I can’t toss it out (in a rude tone) even though there’s a trash only dumpster available. Trash bins are mentioned on the site so why can’t we use them? When I asked if there was somewhere else I could go they just reiterated that I couldn’t toss my trash here which didn’t answer my question. Before anyone loads their car up with stinky trash find somewhere else to go besides here.
